Popular folk rock duo from the sixties. Their music was heavily used in the iconic film The Graduate. After their breakup it was rumored that they didn't like eachother anymore, but it was later revealed that Simon wanted a solo career so he didn't have to sing harmony anymore. Member Paul Simon would go on to have a successful solo career. All their albums have gone platinum, as well as one live album and several compilations. Their Greatest Hits went diamond. Other hit live and compilation albums. Numerous hit singles. Performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 25th anniversary concert. Their 1981 Concert in Central Park is considered one of the greatest of all time.
